Paxton Roe Johansen

First lets start with the morning of Paxton's birth-day! It was also the day of my baby shower! The most amazing girl, Savanah, threw my shower with a Very cute Dr. Sues theme. It was so much fun! thanks to all who came, and thanks for all the great gifts!

we played some fun games and ate amazing food! Savanah and her sister brandy did an amazing job decorating and cooking thanks guys!

These Thing 1 cupcakes were so cute and tasty to bad soon after this pic was taken the humidity got to them and thier "blue hair" went flat. ha ha

Right after this pic savanah and I took of for the mall to see if I could go into labor and... it worked!! a few hours later brock and I were off to the hospital!

Now here is baby Paxton Roe! born january 29th at 8pm
He weighed 7lbs and 2 oz
19 3/4 inches long.
My smallest yet longest baby yet.

Just minutes after his birth and he is already flirting with the camera!

The next morning Savanah and Brian ( her hubby) brought the kids to meet their new brother for the first time! After this pic Rian started searching hard around the room. When I asked her what she was looking for she said she was looking for her baby sister. Ha ha ha I told her it would take at least another 2 years before that could happen!

Maddox was not too sure about the whole baby thing at first but he has warmed up to the idea and can't wait till Pax is big enough to play with. He says he will teach him how to wrestle.

We were stuck in the hospital for 5 days ( due to a minor infection I got with the c section) So brock took every opportunity to bond with little pax while mommy was beyond drugged and sleeping alot!

And in between naps I took the time to bond with the most precious boy ever.

Remember how I said I was drugged? Ya that is why I look so out of it here. ha ha ha. I thought I was smiling but I guess my face forgot to respond!

Rian begs to hold Pax every 5 minutes. She absolutely loves having a baby in the house. And maddox likes to kiss and "pet" his head. They are always asking " how is pax feelin?" they are too cute with him. I am so glad no one has tried to hurt anyone yet!

This little boy is such a perfect blessing in our lives! He is so sweet and cuddly. He eats ALOT and sleeps ALOT. but when he is awake he loves to just stare at you and make silly faces. it is sooo hard to not hold him 24/7. unfortunately with 3 kids that is impossible. I have to take turns. We love this kid!

So with this baby I decided I wanted to actually decorate his room. Then I decided that I wanted to make everything that I could by myself. So this is what happened! brock painted the room and stained the Armour. Then I painted the crib and the dresser. ( also put up a few wall decals.) Then I got to the sewing part.

First project was this quilt. Man it took forever! EVERY bit of it had to be hand stitched. so it took me a good 3 months to complete.

Then I started on the bumper pad. Which, by the way, more challenging than it looks! but all in all, only took me a few days to finish.

Last was the crib skirt... wish I totally screwed up! But am too tired to fix ha ha. measured a little short but oh well! But I am happy with overall the outcome of the room :) What do you think?

Rian's 4th Birthday!

Rian's birthday was new years eve, but we just had her party on jan 8th. So of course here a few photos of the festivities! We love our little princess and feel so blessed to be able to be her parents! We are proud of the beautiful and strong little girl she is becoming!

Christmas break

We had such a wonderful Christmas break! it was three weeks of resting and playing with friends and family. We were a little worried at first because it was our first Christmas stayin in Texas but it was definitely a success!

The kids got a crazy amount of gifts this year! It was so much fun watching their faces when they came into to living room and saw all the gift and looked at santa's cookie plate and empty milk glass and realized santa was there. Rian ran to the table looked at the glass and saw bites taken out of the cookies and looks at us with wonder and excitement on her face and said " oh my gosh!! mommy santa really was here! look look he drank his milk!.... but why he didn't eat his cookies all gone?"

With every present the kids opened they acted like it was the best gift ever in the whole world! they would just stare at it for a while with HUGE smiles on their faces and jaws hanging open in shock afraid it would disappear or something ha ha it was too cute!

they really enjoyed all the clothes they got too! It is so much fun now that they are a bit older and even clothes are exciting. They both loooove clothes and shopping for them its kinda funny how excited they get over an outfit!

In the week before chirstmas we had a chance to hang out with alot of friends, wish I would have taken more pics of everyone but we had fun! It was nice to see everyone that we havent seen in a few months being busy with school and all.

The kids also got a chance to to alot of hanging out with daddy! again sorry I didn't take any pics of the fun but these few. They love it when brock is around especially when he wrestles with them or plays horsey.

After brock had been home for a few days rian asked him (while he was watching a movie) " daddy... are you forgetting to go to school or something?" Brock then said "No Rian, I get to be home with you for a few weeks isnt that going to be fun!" Rian looked at him then the t.v and then back at him and said " No, cause you are taking my t.v!" I cracked up laughing! she was serioulsy upset over the fact that she couldn't dictate what movie we were watching. she just loves to be in charge.

We also got to go to Brock's school's christmas party. We thought it would be nicer to see santa there instead of fighting the crowd at the mall. Turns out santa was one of brock's professors! The kids loved the party and all the decorations.

Before brock professor dressed up like santa for the kids he was out in normal clothes enjoying the party. Maddox saw him across the room and immediately stopped his dance moves he was showing me. He stared at the man mouth wide open then whispered " santa.... santa...." then yelled " Santa!!!!!" and took off running toward him before we could stop him. He plowed into the teacher screaming "santa your here!" it was so funny just about everyone at the party saw this and busted up laughing.
